The very first step includes removing the cover of the engine as well as the coilpack. Depending on the age of your car the coilpacks are likely to be held in place by a 5mm Allen bolt and then you need to trace some 5 10mm nuts to be taken away together with the grounding wire. Unlocking these bolts should be done just like you do with lug bolts when un-tightening them. If you check at the front of the motor you will discover 2 clips that you need to un-do which are on the timing belt.     

The next step is for you to heave the covering of the valve as long as you are careful not to have any dirt falling on the motor.

Thereafter you need to get a clean piece of cloth with which to clean the mating plane found on top of the covering of the valve and remember to also clean the four spark plug holes also.  Get some gasket sealer and apply a light layer along the motor’s front and back remembering to put some emphasis on the corners as well as the V parts on the head. Repeat the same on the other side of the valve cover also. 

To finish the exercise return the gasket and the valve cover as well as the torque bolts remembering to use that tightening pattern used for the log bolts down to 7ft/lbs.
